What We Believe

    Our greatest joy is to point people to Jesus Christ. We do this by pointing them to the Bible. It  is our delight  to share with those of you who are reading this web page  what one must do to become a child of God according to God's plan of salvation . 

      Church of Christ Eastside  objective is to  patterned itself after the system God revealed in the New Testament. We are a congregation with no head but Christ  (Ephesian 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior)  no manual, and no creed but his word as revealed in the Bible (Galatians 1: 8, 9 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached you, let them be under God's curse!  9. As we have already said, so now I say again; if anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God's curse!).

     Our goal as a body of believers is to encourage one another to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds).  Church of Christ Eastside is independent from any other group, but desires a unity of Faith with all those  everywhere who "Walk in the light as He is in the light" I John 1:7.  At Eastside, we desire to draw closer to each other, to you, and to the LORD.

      Eastside  does not claim to be perfect because we are human beings. As sinners, we confess Jesus Christ as Savior and we performed the following steps to become a Christian. Step 1-Romans 10:17  reads consequently, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Step 2-Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Step 3-Acts 17:30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. Step 4-Romans 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. and  the final Step  which is Step 5-Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of  your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Upon accepting and obeying these steps-Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess, and Baptism, you are now free to glorify God  by exalting Christ through your life and by teaching others as you humbly serve HIM.
